Shipping and Delivery Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy (“Policy”) explains how Velvet Studio (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) manages shipping, delivery timelines, courier processes, and customer responsibilities.

By placing an order on our website, you (“Customer”, “User”, “You”) agree to the terms listed below.


1. ORDER PROCESSING TIME

  • All orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.
  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
  • Custom orders (if applicable) may require additional processing time, which will be communicated to the customer.

Processing time is not included in the delivery timeline.


2. SHIPPING & DELIVERY TIMELINES

Standard Delivery Timelines (India):

  • Metro Cities: 3–5 working days
  • Tier 1 & Tier 2 Cities: 4–7 working days
  • Remote/Interiors: 7–10 working days

These timelines are estimated, not guaranteed.


3. DELIVERY DELAYS (BEYOND OUR CONTROL)

Velvet Studio is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Courier company delays
  • Festive season load
  • Weather conditions
  • Public holidays
  • Unexpected surges in volume
  • Operational restrictions
  • Lockdowns or government orders
  • Natural calamities

Once the order is handed to the courier partner, delivery is outside our control.

Refunds will not be issued for delays caused by courier partners.


4. SHIPPING CHARGES

  • Shipping charges (if applicable) will be displayed at checkout before payment.
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable, unless Velvet Studio is at fault.

In case of returns/exchanges initiated by customer, return pickup & reshipping charges may apply as per the Refund Policy.


5. ORDER TRACKING

  • After dispatch, the customer will receive a tracking number via SMS/email/WhatsApp.
  • Customers may track their order directly on the courier website.

If tracking shows “delivered” but the customer did not receive the parcel:

  • Customer must contact the courier company immediately.
  • Velvet Studio will assist but holds no liability if the courier marks delivery as completed.

6. INCORRECT ADDRESS OR FAILED DELIVERY

Velvet Studio is not responsible for delivery failures caused by:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address
  • Wrong phone number
  • Customer not available
  • Customer refusing delivery
  • Premises locked

If the order is returned to us due to these reasons:

  • Reshipping charges must be paid by the customer
  • Refunds are not issued for such cases

7. ADDRESS CHANGE AFTER ORDER

  • Address changes are allowed only within 2 hours of placing the order.
  • After dispatch, changes cannot be made.

8. DAMAGE DURING TRANSIT

We pack all orders safely, but if damage occurs:

Customer must provide:

  • Unedited opening video from the moment the package is opened
  • Clear photos of the damage

Without a proper video proof → claim will be rejected.

If approved:

  • Replacement will be provided (subject to availability)
  • If unavailable, store credit or refund may be issued

9. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (IF APPLICABLE)

If Velvet Studio introduces international shipping in the future:

  • Customs charges, duties, taxes will be borne by the customer
  • Delivery timelines vary by country
  • International orders are not eligible for return/refund

(Currently optional—leave this out if not needed.)


10. COURIER PARTNERS

We ship through reliable third-party logistics companies such as:

  • Delhivery
  • Bluedart
  • Shadowfax
  • DTDC
  • Amazon/Shiprocket partners

Velvet Studio is not liable for:

  • Courier handling issues
  • Courier delays
  • Courier mis-scans

11. LOSS OR THEFT OF PACKAGE

If a package is lost or stolen after the courier marks it delivered, Velvet Studio is not responsible.

Customers must:

  • Raise the issue with the courier company
  • File a complaint with local authorities if needed

We will assist with courier escalation but cannot guarantee compensation.


12. FORCE MAJEURE

Velvet Studio shall not be held liable for delays caused by events beyond our control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Political unrest
  • Strikes
  • Epidemics/pandemics
  • Transportation shutdowns

13. LEGAL JURISDICTION

All disputes related to shipping, delivery, or logistics shall be governed by Indian laws and fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
